JANUARY

This is our busiest month! Hard to believe it is here already- but where we are so busy- make sure to be taking EXTRA care of your bodies so you don't get run down. Eat healthy, get plenty of sleep, make sure you are properly stretching & taking care of your muscles!

Monday, January 15: MLK DAY-NO SCHOOL- Region Practice @ Bountiful High School. Roll call on bus 10:00 am SHARP. Wear zip up, purple practice top, bee leggings, nikes, and BRING YOUR DANCE SHOES. We go out to eat after the practice- we should be home around 2 or 3 pm.

Thursday, January 18: REGION!! roll call 2:15 pm. to school: Mountain Shirt, Name leggings, nikes. **More info to come**

Friday, January 26: Halftime- Roll call 6:45 pm- NO AFTER SCHOOL PRACTICE THIS DAY.

Saturday, January 27: Practice at Nat 7-9 am- if needed.

4:00 pm- Music check in @ front of school. Make sure your name, classification (5A), and style are on your cds.
Spectators: $6, or $3 for team members wearing a jacket, shirt, etc.

Doors for spectators opens at 4:30 pm. Competition begins at 5:00 pm.

The top 5 scoring soloists from Friday will compete for the Overall Award on Saturday.

TEAM COMP-January 6, 2017

Roll call on bus: 5:15 AM SHARP!!!!
Wear purple zip up, bee leggings, nikes- Hair slicked in bun (or high pony if you need help) and make up done if you have your own!

Spectators: $10- Competition begins at 9:00 AM

They don't give exact times for dances, just the times the category begins. Please keep in mind these times are estimates- competitions can either run fast or slow.

Lunch for the team will be provided. Bring any extra HEALTHY treats and drinks that you would like!

After the Character category is complete, the Top 5 soloists from the night before will compete for Overall.

Drill Down & Awards are scheduled for 4:45 pm.

**Please remember that we ride to and from all competitions TOGETHER AS A TEAM. If for any reason you need to ride with a parent, I must excuse it and have a SIGNED note from your parent 24 hours in advanced.**

Friday December 1, 2017

Soloists need to be there by 4:00 pm to check in/check in music. I have a couple seats in my car- if any soloists need a ride let me know!
Make sure your music is labeled with your name, school, routine style (jazz/lyrical/contemp), and 5A.

**Top 5 scoring soloists from Friday will compete for overall winner at the end of Saturday's competition!**

Solo check-in at the entrance of the auditorium on the North West side of the school. It is in a separate
building from the school. Doors open to spectators at 4:30 pm and competition begins at 5:00 pm.

Wear Purple Zip up and Bee leggings. Hair needs to be in HIGH SLICKED SOCK BUN. Come with just your foundation/powder, etc. on, the rest will be put on at the school.

OUR SEASON HAS OFFICIALLY BEGAN! NO ABSENCES UNLESS FOR WEDDINGS, FUNERALS, MISSIONARIES, ETC. MUST BE EXCUSED BY A COACH.

After school practice locations are a little crazy from here on out- make sure you pay close attention to your calendar to know where they are at. All morning practices will still be in the Big Gym.

November 8: All State (See All State Post) Practice will still be held for the rest of the team.

COMPETITIONS are just around the corner! PLEASE make sure to get your shoes and tights ordered. I put a link on the blog at the beginning of the year for both. SHOES/TIGHTS MUST NOT HAVE ANY HOLES OR RUNS FOR COMPETITIONS. Military & Character need the black tights and shoes. Dance will need the caramel tights and shoes.

It would also be smart to get a bra with CLEAR straps. That way you don't have to worry about pinning your straps.

All State

Congrats to Lexie Smoot, Sadie Walker, and Aubree Mathews for being chosen to represent your team at All State.

All State is November 8th at Bountiful High School. We will be leaving the High School at 3:30 pm.
4:30 check in, 5 pm Warm up, 5:30 Start

Practice will be as usual for the rest of the team :)

Hair must be slicked back- however you would like.
MUST wear all black. Can not have any writing on it.

All State team will be announced that night and will be recognized at STATE FINALS.
